Hello all!
I have been remiss in making updates to the blog, using my Facebook page for news. I've had more time to write lately so that means more work to post! As many of you know, I've had a few things published in Chicken Soup for the Soul (I will update the blog about those soon) but I also want to try my hand at self-publishing a few ebooks! A Little Ghost Story is a project I've worked on for a couple of years. It was my first fiction piece and taught me that fiction is really hard! I have added to the story and mercilessly hacked away at it while editing. This taught me a lot about that process too. It's a story that means a lot to me but I've never really known a good place to submit a story like this. It's a ghost story, but not a traditional one. (We are all haunted after all.) It's more gothic, a dash of Du Maurier with a Texas twist. I do hope you like it. You download the story on Amazon and Kobo (Barnes and Noble coming soon). Thanks so much for your support! I hope you enjoy the story!

Looking for a good book that can keep me awake at night, not only because the story is scary, but the fact that I can’t stop reading it for the plot. The hunt for a good horror story is getting rather difficult. These days I’m surrounded by jump scares and cheesy plots when we talk about horror movies that I miss the good old days where horror movies weren’t so campy. Hence, I turn to books to get the satisfaction of a good story with a chilling simplicity. I’m really fond of reading books like written by Stephen King. To me, his book is the stuff of nightmares because he sets the mood right. I think that your book might do the trick!
